CHIEF CHIKE NWEKE
Chike Nweke was born on August 1, 1967.
He was educated in Nigeria obtaining a professional degree in City Planning in 1990 from the University of Nigeria
Chike started his professional career as a City Planner with Lanquest Ltd a real estate development company based in Lagos Nigeria in 1991. Because of his avid love and flair for writing and political discourse during his 1991- 1996 stint in Landquest, he also was also a contributing writer to the Property and Environment column of THE GUARDIAN NEWSPAPERS, the leading intellectual newspaper in Nigeria in the decade of the 1990s.
In an effort to dispel the negative stereotypes that have been associated with Africa in the Western media Chike started the Life and Times project in July 2010. Life and Times Media has the goal of offering an effective voice to Africa in the United States, correcting the negative stereotypes that Africans have been associated within the Western media, highlighting the great achievements that hardworking Africans are making around the world, urging our fellow compatriots to live with the highest standards of excellence wherever they find themselves and exhorting our political leaders to bring to the ordinary African the very basic dividends of development.
Chike is also a California licensed realtor and real estate investor and served as the 2018/2019 President of the Inglewood, California Board of Realtors
Chike is very active in civic duties and currently serves as a Commissioner and Vice-Chair in the Public Relations Commission City of Carson, CA and has Published a collection of Poetry "Life Journeys" published by Lumina Press in 2003.
He is married to Mercy Nweke a social worker with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and family services and they are blessed with three Children, Uche, Ebere, and Omasiri.
