ChiChi Okonkwo
Chichi Okonkwo is a Fashion Designer, Producer/Executive Producer, Actress, Nurse, Philanthropist and Event Host.
Hailing from the beautiful Igbo tribe of Nigeria, Chichi is the fourth of five children in a Christain family. Her mother is a renowned fashion designer hence, Chichi's fashion interest was inborn/inherited.
She was born and raised in Nigeria and relocated to the United States in the early 2000s where she got her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Morgan State University. Her love for entertainment started in her early teenage years as a member of the drama and choir group in her church community.
Subsequently, Chichi Okonkwo has Acted and Produced/Executive Produced the following films (Tears On My Pillow), (Blind Pursuit), (My New Dawn), (Wicked Intentions) and (One Night In Vegas).
Chichi Okonkwo is the founder and CEO of U.U Couture By Chichi Okonkwo, C.O.Entertainments, and Chichi Okonkwo Foundation. She is an avid contributor to Magnus Media & Entertainment and, the U.S Ambassador to Magnus Film Academy.
In 2015 Chichi Okonkwo was nominated at the Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards (NAFCA) in the Peoples Choice category for the best promising actor.
In the same year 2015, Chichi won a Deedee Entertainment/Humanitarian Award for her outstanding support to the African community.
In 2016 Chichi and colleagues organized African Entertainment Night (AEN) An event dedicated to celebrate and appreciate African talents. The event was held in Baltimore Maryland the U.S.A. and attracted people from all works of life more from the African descent.
In 2017 Chichi Okonkwo received an honoree Award at the Titan Arts Award (TAA)for her positive contribution to the DMV community as well as for her creative fashion designs.
Also in 2017 Chichi Okonkwo fashion designs was drafted to be showcased on a runway platform at The Ethiopian International Fashion Week (EIFW) held at the Viking Center Silver Spring Maryland.
Chichi have actively lent her support and services to many African events that promote African talents and her rich cultures.
Ms. Okonkwo uses her professional skills and knowledge to empower youths both in Nigeria and Abroad, to follow their dreams in the African entertainment industry and beyond. She is inspirational, talented, beautiful, brilliant and an asset to Nollywood U.S.A.
