For so many years, the African community in Los Angeles has witnessed and enjoyed the endless and selfless contributions of a Man whom we are proud to celebrate this year for his much-solicited services which are considered very valuable to the growth of our community as a people. An active member and organizer in the African community and Africans in the diaspora.
Mr. Ade James Earns his living as a Certified Quality Engineer for an Aerospace Company out of Long Beach, California. A third-party supplier to Boeing worldwide. He is a trained Photographer and Cinematographer. An active cameraman for several magazines including Ovation International, African Times, Immigrant magazine, and Life and Times magazine.

He was one-third of the now defunct “African Beat” music program that ran from the early eighties to mid-nineties out of KCRW 89.9 FM in Santa Monica. One of the first African voices heard extensively on any radio station in all of Southern California. Now an occasional guest music DJ on KXLU 88.9 FM here in Los Angeles. From the mid-nineties to the present. A permanent member of Radio Afrodicia on KPFK 90.7FM here in Los Angeles. Also, from the early nineties to the present.
This African Community hero has appeared in several paying commercials on TV including the AT&T commercial “Long Distance Call” that ran Nationwide for 2 television seasons. Did voice-over for Western Union's “Wiring Money To Africa” Did voice-over for several animated projects. Had several cameo film appearances including “only in America”. A quiet SAG member since 1993.
